The Secret Banker's view

The Coutts join form asks for £3 million in investments or savings, or £3 million of borrowing, held with Coutts and kept there. The relationship fee is £100 a month, waived at £500,000 of holdings, which sits comfortably below the entry test. Applicants who fall short are pointed, on the same form, to NatWest International with a £100,000 deposit. I think that is the most courteous rejection in British banking. No portfolio management fee is published. A fully bespoke portfolio starts at £10 million.
